These large format oil landscapes included in this exhibition were created on Wiradjuri country, working plain-air under the cover of night. Roche began each painting on elevated parts of her family farm and worked into the night - mark making shadows and silhouettes. She relied on the elements, mainly wind and dew, to help direct and manipulate the mediums.
