NEWS & HIGHLIGHTS OF 2024
2024 has seen solo exhibitions in Melbourne, Sydney and Wagga Wagga.
Held in Place with fellow artist Juanita McLauchlan opened at OTOMYS in June. When our eyes adjust, the culmination of Julia’s Artist Mentorship with Wagga Wagga Art Gallery opened at Wagga’s regional gallery in March and then travelled to Defiance Gallery in Sydney for exhibition in July.
Simon Hewson of fa tog’ra fi, made an insightful film about Julia’s night painting process. This film was shown alongside the series of night and day paintings in exhibition. Watch here.
Julia was a finalist in the 2024 King’s School Art Prize and the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award.
